Seven regional civil protection teams, one for each province of Veneto, with about 6-7 volunteers each, will leave tomorrow morning to bring relief to the city of Senigallia. The initiative follows the request of the national department to guarantee aid in the flooded areas of the Marche. The “column” will consist of vehicles necessary for emptying basements, cleaning areas invaded by mud, fire-fighting vehicles and skid steers to clear the mud, as well as a truck with a tipper.
“We have given our availability from the first moment and we are ready to give all the necessary help to the citizens of the Marche. – commented the president of Veneto, Luca Zaia – Never as in these occasions do we know well in Veneto how useful it is to support those affected by this tragedy. Veneto will do its part and is already at work ».
Already this afternoon a scouting team, made up of an official and three volunteers, will leave the Veneto to arrive in the flooded areas to carry out a first survey and facilitate the organization of interventions. «I will follow all the operations with the utmost attention. – added the Venetian governor – Our commitment is not limited to technical support. We provide all the means and men, whom I thank for their commitment, to support the friends of the Marche to restore the situation as soon as possible »..
