Yesterday, Thursday 1 September, Davide Cristiano Mossali was arrested on charges of aggravated voluntary homicide from premeditation, destruction of a corpse and illegal carrying of a weapon.
Who is the man arrested for the murder of the 40-year-old
The 53-year-old is originally from Palazzolo and owns a vehicle repair shop. He confirmed that he knew the victim, but – as specified also to Fanpage.it by his lawyer Stefano Forzani – he claims he did not kill him: he would have provided some alibis which, however, would have been denied by his family. According to investigations by the investigators, Mossali would have killed him for a debt of almost fifty thousand euros that he would have contracted with the victim and that he would not have been able to pay off.
The 40-year-old was found died in his brother’s Range Rover. The carabinieri of the investigative unit and of the Chiari Company, coordinated by the deputy prosecutor Claudia Passalacqua, would have arrived at the alleged responsible through the analysis of the images of the camera installed near the victim’s home and the testimony of some close people.
The possible motive
According to the investigations, the 53-year-old was in financial difficulty and for this reason he would have asked for money from the 40-year-old who had already been investigated (later acquitted) for extortion, convicted of possessing 25 bullets and on trial for the attempted fire of a manager’s villa. The man would then not be able to repay the debt and for this reason he would then decide to kill him..
For investigators, the two would have met on Monday morning a few hours before the 40-year-old’s death: it is not clear, however, where he was killed. However, it would seem that he was killed with a few gunshots and that his body was then loaded into the trunk of his car after which, once he arrived in the countryside of Cologne, the car was set on fire.CopyAMP code
