The 39th edition of Cersaie, which includes a rich program of initiatives supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and ITA Italian Trade Agency, will return to populate BolognaFiere for an edition that is sold out in the exhibition spaces. There are 627 exhibitors, 38% of which from abroad, from 26 countries. A significant participation of exhibitors which confirms the interest and attractiveness for the world event held in Bologna.
The opening of Cersaie, marked by the classic ribbon cutting in Piazza della Costituzione, sees the first appointment on the agenda of the Economic Conference, at the Europauditorium of the Palazzo dei Congressi, Monday 26 September at 11 with some of the main local and national institutional players.
The Ceramics of Italy International Press Conference. The event represents the traditional meeting with the media and journalists from all over the world to illustrate the current trend and future prospects of the ceramic sector. The second part of the international press conference includes the ceremony for the delivery of the XXV Ceramics of Italy Journalism Award, the award for the best article published in foreign magazines dedicated to Cersaie and the Italian ceramic industry and to the three honorable mentions to as many foreign newspapers. . Afterwards, during the Cersaie evening at Ex Gam Bologna Congress Center, i Confindustria Ceramica Distributor Awards to the four distributors (Belgium, France, Germany and Italy) who have distinguished themselves the most in their relations with the Italian ceramic industry.
There are numerous big names guests at Cersaie 2022, as part of the cultural program “building, living, thinking”. Tuesday 27 September at 11 am, at the Palazzo dei Congressi of BolognaFiere, an important conference entitled “The sustainable beauty of recovery” is scheduled. The meeting, moderated by Fulvio Irace, is made up of two parts. In the first part, Giuseppina Grasso Cannizzo, an award-winning Italian architect, presents the ‘Casa Asilo’ project, an example of the recovery of a former kindergarten, which in the past was then used as a public function and is now transformed into a private residence. In the second part of the conference, the architect Giovanni Cappelletti presents the project for Palazzo Butera in Palermo, a sumptuous private villa with the recovery being returned to public use by the city, becoming an open laboratory.
Mario Botta, on Wednesday 28 September at 15:00, is the protagonist at the Palazzo dei Congressi of BolognaFiere, with the conference entitled “Building peace” with the participation of Fulvio Irace. Mario Botta tells the incredible story of resistance and courage, as he defines it, of his project for the construction of a Greek Orthodox Catholic church of the Company of Don Orione in Lviv and whose construction did not stop even during the war and under the bombings.
Also on Wednesday 28 September, from 3 to 5 pm in the Sala Italia of the Palazzo dei Congressi, the Monrif Group is organizing a free event entitled “BUSINESS PLANet – Building a sustainable future, planning conscious growth”. Architects, entrepreneurs, institutions and community animators are called to feed the imagination of the new professionals who design cities and spaces in harmony with nature for the enhancement of human relationships.
Sustainability, together with the creativity and beauty of Made in Italy, are the raw material for the competitiveness and growth of the territories and of our entire production system.
The German architect Manuel Herz is the host of the cultural program on the day of Thursday 29 September at 3 pm, also at the Palazzo dei Congressi. Among the most famous projects completed, there is the Synagogue of Mainz, a volume of different levels covered in green glazed ceramic whose shape is inspired by the relationship between writing and space. Manuel Herz also designed a masterplan and synagogue for the Babyn Yar memorial area in Kiev, Ukraine.
One of the novelties of this edition is Cersaie Upstairs, a pedestrian path on the first floor that connects the historic pavilions with those of new construction. The entrance is from the external escalators adjacent to Pavilion 19/20 and then continues into Gallery 21/22 and Gallery 25/26. This new path allows the visitor to experience a new attractive experience both from a sensorial, relational and cultural point of view, as well as playful and gastronomic. A meeting place characterized by the theme of the elements that make up the ceramic: air, water, earth and fire.
Gallery 21/22 represents the container of Archincontract, the exhibition format designed for the world of architecture and contract, now in its third edition, which this year sees the participation of 6 important architectural firms (Lombardini 22, Pininfarina, One Works, Noa *, Iosa Ghini Associati-IGA, Handel Architects). All this is inserted in an evocative setting dedicated to air and water that conceptually recalls the site of Stonehenge. Furthermore, each firm is given the opportunity to make a speech on the topic of sustainability.
The elements earth and fire are the protagonists in Gallery 25/26. A space of about 1,200 square meters where the representation of the two natural elements involves the visitor in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. The use of video mapping on the ground helps to enrich the sensory perception of the visitor. A VIP lounge welcomes the delegations of international operators, which this year are over 200 architectural firms and operators also in the contract sector.CopyAMP code.
The review of the Cafés of the Press sees the participation of 23 major publications: Abitare, AD Architectural Digest, Around Water, Chiesa Oggi, DDN, Domus, Elle Decor Italia, IFDM, Il Bagno Oggi e Domani, Il Giornale dell’Architettura.com, Ingenio, Interni, l’Arca International, La Repubblica Design, NiiProgetti, PR Communication News, Platform, National Newspaper, Suite, The Plan, Tile Brasil, Ville & Casali and VilleGiardini. The Cersaie initiative, created together with the most important publishing houses, aims to deepen through the dialogue between newspapers and experts, current issues in terms of design, architecture, wellness and urban planning in the field of ceramics and bathroom furnishings. This year the leitmotif of the initiatives will be sustainability declined under the sensitivity of the various directors of the newspapers.
Among the novelties of this edition, the Cafè della Stampa they will also be held in the week before the fair, from 19 to 23 September, in digital mode through the Cersaie Digital platform. For talks confirmed in attendance during the fair, live streaming on Cersaie Digital will be provided at the Media Agora at the Service Center.
The “City of Laying” is confirmed again this year at Cersaie, the meeting place for all Italian and international operators operating in this world. An area of over 400 square meters. located inside Pavilion 32, near the entrance to Piazza Costituzione. For its 10th edition, the ‘Città della Posa’ reserves for its visitors, for each of the five days of Cersaie, demonstrations of laying large ceramic slabs through its master tilers, technical seminars on laying large slabs for architects and designers and Matinée, corporate initiatives dedicated to installation and organized by Assoposa’s technical partners (Fila, Mapei, Raimondi).
An important space within the ‘Città della Posa’ is occupied by Assoposa which organizes three specific spaces: the Academy dedicated to XXL Lastrificators and the display of washbasins made with large slabs, as well as a work in progress on the covering of a complex volume with ceramic mosaic tiles. A second space is dedicated to the outdoors, with demonstrations of laying raised and outdoor floors. Assoposa in Rosa is a third area dedicated to women who work in the construction world and in particular to female figures employed in the stores. Finally, the web radio Casa Italia, a network specialized in the world of home and living, will broadcast for the five days of Cersaie from the Città della Posa.
“Cersaie Design Your Home”, now in its 10th editionis held at the Agora dei Media, at the Service Center of the Fair, Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September according to the classic format that provides advice to individuals by the designers of 14 leading Italian interior design magazines: 100 Ideas for Restructuring, Home easy, Casa Naturale, CerMagazine, Cose di Casa, Repubblica Design, I Love Parquet, Il Bagno Oggi e Domani, Professional Parquet, Quotidiano Nazionale, Ville & Casali, Wellness Design, Youbuild and Youtrade.
Cersaie Digital, online for three weeks – from 19 September to 7 October – serves to improve and expand relations between exhibitors and visitors thanks to the proliferation of all users, with the aim of consolidating participation in the physical fair. The potential of information technology makes it possible to develop specific actions, including the streaming of all scheduled events.
