The plan is ready and the date is set: the former Rio d’Oro hotel, at the entrance to Montegrotto Terme, will be razed to the ground on Sunday 18 September between 10 and 13 work of the Superbeton company assisted by Siag, the same that carried out the demolition of the Morandi bridge in Genoa, and by So.ra.co management services.
In a meeting in the Municipality, all the documents relating to the reclamation of the site certified by the ULSS were presented. The company in charge spent over one million euros to clean up the former hotel of asbestos and derivatives. The artifact is now ready to be safely made to shine also from an environmental point of view.
The plan prepared by the local police in agreement with Superbeton of the Grigolin group that will build the new structure provides for a zone A and a zone B around the hotel whose residents will be visited in the coming days, informed of the program and the need to leave home during the operations. For the houses the necessary protections will be provided to avoid possible damage. For the citizens involved, a collection center will be set up at the Gino Strada center in via Diocleziana where the Grigolin group will also provide refreshments. The agreements stipulated provide that for operations relating to the demolition of the building the Municipality is relieved of any responsibility, and any damage will be covered by insurance.
“For citizens – says Mayor Riccardo Mortandello – both those residing in the area and all other interested parties will also set up two panoramic points to watch the blasting: one will be in Piazza Mercato, and one from Villa Draghi where the explosion will be visible from above », in the area will begin in the coming months the construction of the new retirement home with an agreement with the Ulss.CopyAMP code.
