Ukraine: two more women died in Russian raid near Kharkiv
Victims surprised by missile in a Shechenkove market
Shechenkove, January 10. Two more women died in Russian shelling at a market in Shevchenkove, Kharkiv region, eastern Ukraine. This was reported by the regional prosecutor, adding that four other people, including a 10-year-old girl, were injured in the attack. The prosecutor also specified that the projectile, fired from the Russian region of Belgorod, on the border with Ukraine, was an S-300 surface-to-air missile and that a war crimes investigation had been opened into the attack.
The governor of the region, Oleh Synehubov, had previously reported the death of a 60-year-old woman after the bombing. Rescuers worked amidst rubble, burning debris and a large crater. Shevchenkove is located 80 kilometers southeast of Kharkiv.
