It is unfortunately a situation that the Italian consumer knows very well. Like him, he knows perfectly well that, if he has the misfortune of having to travel on the motorway with his own vehicle, he will have to pay for petrol or diesel at a higher price than that of the fuel distribution plants operating in urban centres. According to the latest surveys by Quotidiano Energia, the average price of petrol served rises to 1.965 euros while that of diesel rises to 2.023 euros per litre. The national average price of petrol in self-service mode is 1.821 euros per liter (1.814 in the survey of 5 January), with the various brands ranging between 1.816 and 1.835 euros per liter (no logo 1.819). The average price of diesel self is 1.879 euros per liter (against 1.875).
Prices soaring for plants on motorways: average price of petrol served at 2.171 euros; in self-service mode, 1.912 euros per litre. As for diesel, the cost is 1.963 euros per liter if you serve yourself and 2.223, with the help of a pump attendant. Also according to Quotidiano Energia, LPG costs 0.823 euros per liter for self-service and 0.900 euros per liter for served.
A flurry of increases that can find justification in the cancellation of the discounts on the charges, decided by the Draghi government and not confirmed by the Meloni one, which made a different choice, deciding to direct the savings towards family support.
