In San Donà di Piave, two boys in their early twenties died in a road accident

More tragic car accident. Sunday 9 January 2023, shortly after 9 pm, two young people from Sandonatesea boy and a girl aged 23 and 21 aboard a Seat Ibizalost their lives due to a terrible crash that occurred a short distance from the Vittoria bridge, a San Dona di Piave. There are also three other boys in the car who were injured.

The accident and the difficult reconnaissance

Precisely, the street where the drama took place is via Lungo Piave Superiore which was blocked for a long time for the relief, rescue and reconstruction of the carabinieri of the Compagnia di San Donà di Piave, at work with the firefighters.

The reconnaissance, as reported by Venezia Today, was made even more difficult by the bad weather and the pouring rain that began to fall in the afternoon and whose intensity increased towards the evening.

Bad weather was the cause of the accident

At the origin of the vehicle on which the young victims were traveling off the road, there would be bad weather. Whoever was behind the wheel of the car would have lost control, crashing violently into the guard rail of the roadway, one of those undergoing maintenance on the trees that were about to leave these days to avoid inconvenience to motorists.

The skid and the violent impact

According to initial reports, there were 5 people in the car at the time of the crash. In addition to the two victims, there were in fact three other boys who were injured. The two who died were in the back seats of the car.

The Seat Ibiza in which they were traveling came from via Unità d’Italia and, probably, due to the asphalt made impassable by the rain, would have lost grip with the ground, skidding and then ending its race against the guard rail, getting stuck with the rear under the trunk.
