It was not an act of vandalism but rather an accidental fact, but the investigation promptly undertaken by the Local Police of Rocca Priora, to shed light on the case of the burnt waste bin inside the Madonna della Neve Park, has however, it left an important lesson in terms of prevention: the utmost caution must be used when throwing away material potentially capable of raising flames.
The facts were reported yesterday, when a photo of a waste bin located in the city park, which had completely burned down, appeared on a city social group.
The Councilor for the Heritage of the Municipality of Rocca Priora, Gianluca Mastrella, as soon as he received the report of the episode from the social group “Cittadini Attivi Piani di Caiano Rocca Priora”, turned the case over to the Municipal Police so that full clarity was made.
“Through the video surveillance images – explains the councilor – it was possible to reconstruct the facts.
In the film, in fact, some boys appear who collect residues of apparently extinguished pyrotechnic stars from the ground, placing them inside an envelope, an envelope which is then placed inside the waste bin. Only after some time does the envelope catch fire inside the container, setting it on fire. Thank you, however, on behalf of the Municipality of Rocca Priora, the social group mentioned for the work of daily dissemination of virtuous behavior and civic sense within our town “.
