Budoni scores a big shot with over 150 appearances in Serie A: Fernando Damián Tissone. The midfielder born in 1986 arrives in Gallura two weeks after his brother Cristian, who had already played against San Teodoro, Latte Dolce (in the Italian Cup) and Sant’Elena. A great addition to the formation led by Raffaele Cerbone, as well as a targeted and desired reinforcement: “We’ve been behind it for a long time, we finally managed to convince him”, comments the president of Budoni, Filippo Fois. “We wanted our brother Cristian from the beginning of the championship and we managed to convince him two weeks ago. In the last few days we spoke to Fernando and we managed to close him in too: he’s a solid player who gives great quality to a midfield where we’re in many but with several injuries. It’s a delicate moment and we’ll need it to help the team grow.” It’s up to Cerbone to choose whether to make his debut on Saturday in Tharros-Budoni.
Born in Argentina in 1986, Tissone was free agent after last season in Serie C (Group C) at Paganese, where he totaled 28 appearances between the regular season and the playouts. He played 162 matches in Serie A between 2005 and 2013: having arrived at Udinese from Argentina at a very young age, he made his debut on 23 April 2005 in a 2-3 victory against Siena. With the Friulians Tissone also played in the Champions League, on 7 December of the same year challenging Barcelona. In the top division, after leaving Udine, he then wore the shirts of Atalanta and Sampdoria, moving to the Spanish Liga with Mallorca in January 2013 and in the following three seasons to Málaga. In recent years he has toured between Ukraine (Karpaty Lviv) and Portugal (Desportivo Aves and Nacional, always in the top division), remaining free for the 2018-2019 season. He returned to the field in January 2021, in Serie D at Taranto. For Tissone now the first experience both in Excellence and in Sardinia..
