The third appointment of the “Literary Meetings” of the Cultural Relations Center hosts the opening of the twentieth edition of the “GialloLuna NeroNotte” festival. On Friday 4 November at 6 pm, in the D’Attorre hall in via Ponte Marino, Scilla Bonfiglioli will intervene and present the novel “Nero & Zagara – Morte ad Ankara” (Super Secret Extra, Mondadori). The author will converse with Nevio Galeati, director of the review.

“Death in Ankara” is the second novel starring Nero & Zagara: a couple in life and work, they solve difficult situations for a fee, in the shadow of the conflicts that have set fire to the Middle Eastern territories in the last fifteen years. The story fits into the genre of spy and action thriller novels and the blonde Zagara this time travels to Turkey to look for her partner Nero, a fugitive and wanted by East and West, who has been given up for dead. In the background stands a criminal organization that would like to rewrite the fate of the ancient Ottoman power, also using child soldiers.

Scilla Bonfiglioli was born and lives in Bologna. In 2017 she published for Mondadori the short story “A shadow on the moon”, winner of the first prize “Top Secret” for spy stories, a prize that will later be named after Stefano di Marino. This is the first appearance of the characters of Nero and Zagara. In 2018 she won the Grand Yellow City of Cattolica prize with the short story “Do not kill the dodi” and in 2019 she won the Altieri prize with the novel “Nero & Zagara – Fuoco su Baghdad” published for the Secretissimo Mondadori. In 2020 the novel “The girl and the Nazi” is published, written jointly with Franco Forte and published by Mondadori in the Omnibus series. The following year she published the novel “Tullo Ostilio-Il Lupo di Roma” written together with Franco Forte and Mina Alfieri, the third volume of the series of historical novels The Seven Kings of Rome, published by Mondadori in the Oscar Historica series. In 2022 “Morte ad Ankara” was released, the second novel in the “Nero & Zagara” series, also published by the Secretissimo Mondadori.
