FALCONARA – A new multipurpose playground in the garden of the Montessori Middle School, where children can compete in volleyball and basketball. This is what is foreseen by a project of the Municipality, which was announced to the children today, Monday 19 September. The mayor Stefania Signorini, who has been visiting students since last week to wish everyone a good start to the school year, made a stop this morning in Castelferretti and started right from the plexus of via Veneto, where the last classes of the primary Da Vinci, under reconstruction. “I come from the world of school – said the mayor to the boys, who all gathered in the garden – and the care of school buildings is particularly close to my heart, which in addition to being as safe as possible must offer students and teachers all the necessary services. I wish you guys a good school year and I recommend you to be welcoming and helpful with your classmates, especially with those who are most in difficulty ».
A total of 70 thousand euros have been allocated for Montessori, of which 30 thousand for interventions inside the school (including the painting of the classrooms, already carried out), the remaining 40 thousand precisely for the construction of the new multipurpose pitch. This will be obtained in the portion of the garden already paved, a type of flooring that is not suitable for sports activities. The area will be slightly enlarged and will be paved with synthetic resins, which allow to obtain a uniform surface, have excellent technical performance for the degree of friction and the bounce of the ball and do not need particular maintenance. New pedestrian walkways will also be built, to better connect the new multipurpose field with the two entrances to the school, one on via Veneto, the other on via Marzabotto and with the internal exits. The stop in Castelferretti ended with a visit to the oratory of the parish of Sant’Andrea, where classrooms have been created since last school year to accommodate most of the Da Vinci school classes. The mayor greeted the children of first and second, with whom he spoke about the new school complex under construction: these days the contractor is preparing the foundations of the new portion of the building. The morning had begun at the Dante Alighieri school in Falconara Alta and at the Gesù Bambino institute in via XX Settembre, where the classes of the Leopardi elementary school have been hosted since last school year.
