The finswimming world championships hosted in our waters of Viverone where in blue dress were the athletes of the Sport Club Pralino, Giorgia Destefani and Giulia Cerchi, ended.

Great result for Giorgia, born in 2006, who proclaims herself Youth World Champion in the 150 meters elimination, at the age of only 16. Beautiful match for her, under the eyes of her coach Emiliano Zanella, her teammates and national team mates, welcomed by everyone at the exit of the water between tears and a lot of emotion. It is the first world title for the Pralino Sport Club, a title that will remain in history.

But the medals did not end there: Giorgia and Giulia win the silver in the 4×150 meter relay mixed with elimination; Giorgia also second with the 4×1000 meters mixed relay. Two unfortunate fourth places for both, in the 1000 individual meters for Giorgia and in the 150 meters elimination for Giulia. “A championship that will remain in history” says the coach Emiliano Zanella “the girls are growing a lot and this year they have achieved dream results. The whole club and teammates are proud of them ”. Giorgia, between emotion and tears, tells us “it was my dream, I didn’t think it would happen so soon, but it became reality. Thanks to everyone, especially my coach, who has been preparing me for years, my parents, my teammates who always support me and all those who are close to me ”.

Giulia, on the other hand, tells us “the silver was a great medal shared with my team mates. I was hoping to do better in the single race, but it’s still fourth in the world championship, that’s okay! ”. And now, the season starts again for the whole Pralino Sport Club, hoping for a brilliant season like this one.
