TRENTO. The controversy was not lacking, from the first day: the development of World cycling championships for amateurs inevitably caused some inconvenience to traffic and circulation in the city, with many motorists bottled up in long (and slow) queues and furious for the mishap.

The world championships will also accompany us until Sunday 18 Septemberand for all the time necessary to carry out the various tests, the ban on transit and parking along the entire route.

A morning of passion, in the city, for traffic and circulation: the start of the cycling world championships for amateurs has severely tested the patience of many motorists.

The closing times of the roads involved vary in relation to the conduct of the various races.

Sunday 18th Septemberin particular, the changes to the road network will be: Granfondo And Mediofondo. Departure of the various categories from via Sanseverino from 10 to 10.45.

Route towards Sanseverino, via Jedin, provincial 90, Ravina, Romagnano, Aldeno, Cimone, Garniga Terme, Viote, then exit the municipal area towards Madruzzo (Lasino and Calavino), Vallelaghi (Vezzano, Terlago) return to Cadine, climb to Sopramonte up to Candriai, where the race is doubled.

Who opted for the Mediofondo (short route) descends from Sardagna, via Brescia, Piedicastello, Ponte San Lorenzo, Sanseverino and returns to the Albere area.

Subscribers to the Granfondo (long route) once they reach the Candriai junction they continue climbing up to Vason, Viote then descend to Madruzzo (Lasino and Calavino), Vallelaghi (Vezzano, Terlago), return to Cadine, go up again towards Sopramonte up to Candriai and then descend to Sardagna and go to the finish area from via Brescia, Piedicastello, San Lorenzo bridge, Sanseverino up to the Albere district.

Critical issues: in the first part of the race, circulation is interrupted up to Aldeno for about 60/90 minutes with closure of exits 3-4 of the ring road (which, however, always remains viable). In the second part of the race important closures from 11.30 to about 17 which concern the towns of Cadine, Sopramonte and Sardagna and the area of ​​via Brescia-Piedicastello.

  • For who it comes from from Riva del Garda transit on state road 45 bis will be subject to slowdowns in the Vezzano area. It will not be allowed to use the link road at the entrance and exit of the “Cadine” tunnel to access the town of Cadine or to enter the Sopramonte-Cadine roundabout from 11 am to 5 pm.
  • For traffic from Trento to Riva del Garda slowdowns are expected near the end of the viaduct; it will not be possible to use the link road, at the exit of the fort tunnel, to enter the Sopramonte-Cadine roundabout from 11 am to 5 pm.
  • Suspension of the urban public transport service to Sopramonte, Cadine, Vigolo Baselga and Baselga del Bondone from early afternoon until about 5 pm (the cable car can always be used for Sardagna).

The parking lots in via Sanseverino and the parking of via Bartali they will be closed to the public and available to the organizing committee of the event, the first only on Sunday 18 September, the second until 18 September.

Parking spaces remain available Former Italcementi (accessible from Lung’Adige San Nicolò near the Motorization using the ring road 5 of the Tangenziale), Canestrini, Monte Baldo and ex Zuffo (accessible from via Doss Trento or from the roundabout in via Berlino).

Similar measures will be adopted in the areas affected by the installations and in particular in the accreditation area of ​​the start and finish of the races.

Public transport. During the days of the championships, measures will also be adopted to vary or suspend urban and extra-urban public transport races, according to the Trentino Trasporti schedule.
