Parma A club that consolidates the foundations of its identity and strengthens the foundations of its growth. The Zebre Parma project takes a further and important step forward with the appointment of Franco Tonni (pictured) as sporting director. A strategic decision, undertaken in agreement with the Federation, as a programmatic point of the new corporate governance launched last April with the appointment of the new sole director Michele Dalai. Tonni – in the past general manager of Rugby Viadana until 2010 and ds of the federal franchise of the Aironi between 2010 and 2012 – joined the management staff of the Zebre in April 2021 as director and member of the board of directors: now he takes on the delegation of sports management. «When I arrived at the Zebre I found an unbalanced team – says Tonni – with an average age of 29 and a standard that the tournament itself considered unsuitable. We have made choices, some painful, but necessary that will help us gain credibility and attention. My goal is to create in Parma a club firmly anchored to the federal context with a strong identity useful to raise the desire for competitiveness on and off the pitch. The team group presents itself to this season with an average age of 24 and a captivating future. Fir and President Innocenti have given us so much confidence that we want to repay ».
