A few days ago I was supposed to go to Germany to attend an event for Allianz and then play for AVC. Unfortunately I tested positive for dengue. The first few days were terrible: I had a high fever, body aches and headaches. I was unable to eat and drink anything. After 6 days, fortunately the fever went down, but the platelet count continued to drop dangerously to 37. I then had some complications such as bleeding and an enlarged liver. It was at this point that the doctors decided to admit me to the hospital, initially discussing a blood transfusion. The first few hours in the hospital were crucial. Having received all the results of the laboratory tests, fortunately my doctors decided not to proceed with the transfusion. Thank God everything has slowly improved! I’ll have the latest lab tests soon too. I am on the road to complete recovery. Thanks for all the prayers.
