At the end of a tough, long and very busy season between road and track, Filippo Ganna is enjoying a well-deserved rest while waiting to resume activity for next season. The retreat with the INEOS Grenadiers will start on December 5th and will be held in Mallorca. Before starting work with the British team, the new Hour Record holder will undergo eye surgery.

This was confirmed by track CT Marco Villa alla Gazzetta dello Sport. The purpose of the operation is to solve a problem of astigmatism that forces him to wear contact lenses. These are Villa’s words: “Pippo is having eye surgery these days. It’s the right time, so he can get back on the bike without thinking about it anymore ”.

Cycling, Remco Evenepoel is already working for next season: the Belgian is training in Spain

The first occasion in which we will see the Verbanese in action on the road will be at the Vuelta a San Juan, scheduled from 22 to 29 January 2023. Ganna himself confirmed his presence at the Argentine race on his social channels: “I am happy to say that we will start the season, my team and I, in San Juan. It will be a great opportunity to get back on the bike, look for new goals and new results”.
