MONZA, SEPTEMBER 24, 2022 – Luka Marttila It will be a player of the True Volley Monza for the season 2022-2023. The young Finnish athlete born in 2003, who grew up at home in the Kuortane club, completes the spikers department together with Maar, Davyskiba and Magliano, available to coach Massimo Eccheli for the next season of SuperLega Credem Banca.
CAREER IN BRIEF
Marttila approaches volleyball since he was a child, starting to play in the role of free in the youth team of his hometown team, the Ginepro Masku Volleyball. After winning the prize as best free of the NEVZA 2018 Under 17, with the representative of Finland, from the 2018-2019 sporting year he joins the first team of Kuortane, in the second Finnish category. His physical growth, in terms of height, not only led him to change roles, becoming a hitter, but above all to establish himself as one of the most talented hammers in his country with the Hurrikaani club Loimaa. Thanks to the excellent performances recorded during the last sporting year, Marttila was also named Rookie of the year 2022 in Finland. At the moment the Finnish athlete is involved in the Under 20 European Championship with the representative of his country and will arrive in Brianza on Monday.
