Thursday June 23 toArena Apulia Film Commission (9.00 pm, free admission subject to availability) continues on Loop Festivalan edition entitled “All Girls To The Front” which focuses on women who changed the music of our timeartists who in recent years have represented innovation, courage, creativity and inventiveness in the advancement of international art.
After the exceptional opening appointment last June 9 with the screening of the documentary “Sisters with transistors” by Lisa Rovner introduced by Laurie Anderson we continue, in this second appointment, with an evening dedicated to women who have branded the contemporary rock; a selection of songs and video clips that have made the recent history of international alternative music. A journey that crosses the bluesy provocations of PJ Harvey and the eclecticism of Billie Eilishthe folk innovation of Cat Power and the opening to the noise of Kim Gordonthe melancholy of Lana Del Rey and the impetuousness of Karen O. The guitar sound, the glowing rhythms, the psych digressions and the us openings, all this (and much more) will be at the center of the evening of 23 June to tell how the rock sound of the last 30 years has changed and evolved.
