Innovation and green power from over a thousand brands until 22/09

(ANSA) – MILAN, SEPTEMBER 19 – Lineapelle, the international fair dedicated to the fashion and design supply chain, blows out 100 candles and does so under the slogan ‘Back to the next’.

The exhibition, at Fieramilano Rho from 20 to 22 September, opens its doors to 1,134 exhibitors from 40 countries, marking a definitive return to full normality: in February there were 960.

In the claim of the edition number 100 there is not a return to the past, but the celebration of a “futuristic design vision”. ProTagonists are the fashion trends for the Fall / Winter 2023-24 season which this year enter a cross-media dimension with the Metaverse: the samples on display will also be translated in virtual mode, in a digital space usable from any device, including the visit with 3D viewers.

An experience between the real and the physical will be possible in the immersive space ‘Leatherverse’ to discover Italian leather.

Leather also becomes a canvas and creative base in three works on display: an oil on canvas by Mimmo Paladino entitled ‘The Magical Shoemaker Dinner’; a leather-based material installation by Franco Politano entitled ‘Pelli Trincerate’; a life-size version of Leonardo da Vinci’s Last Supper, made by Francesco La Rosa. Space also for the exhibition project ‘The Beauty Of The Italian Tanning Industry: Heritage, Science and Design’, promoted by Unic – Italian Tanneries, which tells the world of the Italian tanning industry which is worth 66% of the production of the European Union and the 23% of the global one. At the Green Theater the sustainable approach of Italian exhibiting companies is staged with presentations and debates, while in the heart of Milan, in Piazza Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa there will be, in conjunction with the Milan Fashion Week, Lineapelle Designer Edition where brands and young stylists who they will present their collections with events, performances and installations.
