Many reports for the gusts of wind in the lower Molise where the firefighters were forced to perform extraordinary works in practically all the larger centers. Switchboards clogged with requests for intervention for collapsed barriers and tree branches uprooted by the wind.
In San Martino in Pensilis the municipal administration led by the mayor Giovanni Di Matteo has invited the citizens to pay the utmost attention and to leave the house only if strictly necessary given the strong wind that has also reached the town.
The situation on several provincial roads is also problematic, including those that connect Termoli with Guglionesi where collapsed branches and felled trees blocked the circulation of cars. This wave of bad weather had been announced by the Port Authority which spoke of strong gale winds throughout the weekend in lower Molise.
