(ANSA) – GENOA, SEPTEMBER 16 – On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Genoa Voltri – Ventimiglia railway line on Sunday 18 September a historic train from the 1930s will connect the Ligurian capital to the border town.
Organized by Trenitalia and the Liguria Region, it will be possible to travel on “Centoporte” type cars made available by the FS Foundation.
The special train will depart from Genova Brignole at 9.45 am and the intermediate stops will be in the stations of Genova Piazza Principe, Genova Sampierdarena, Genova Sestri Ponente Airport, Genova Voltri, Savona, Spotorno – Noli, Finale Ligure Marina, Pietra Ligure, Loano, Albenga, Alassio, Diano, Imperia, Taggia Arma, Sanremo, Bordighera before concluding his trip to Ventimiglia.
In addition, the convoy will stop for 50 minutes at the Taggia Arma station to allow travelers to visit the National Transport Museum, while upon arrival at the Ventimiglia station, at 13.50, you can visit the exhibition dedicated to the history of the railway line that it has contributed in a fundamental way to the tourist and economic development of western Liguria.
The return journey is scheduled for 3.40 pm arriving in Genova Brignole at 6.47 pm. Tickets are on sale on the Trenitalia channels, ticket offices and station self-services, authorized travel agencies and on the Trenitalia website and app (ANSA).
