Improve the epidemiological curve of Covid in Sardinia. According to the weekly monitoring by Iss-Ministry of Health on the progress of the epidemic on the island, the new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants went from 196.4 in the week from 26 August to 1 September, to 157.9 in the period from 2 to 8 September, to reach 135.7 cases between 9 and 15 September, while the Italian average stands at 186 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants. A figure that is among the lowest in the country, third only after Puglia – with 1.28.1 – and Sicily (130.3 x 100 thousand inhabitants).
The situation is different in hospitals and in particular in intensive care where Sardinia is assigned the negative record: 3.4% of occupancy of beds by Covid patients. The figure, in fact, is the highest in Italy where the average is 1.4%. It is better in the medical departments: 4.4% compared to the Italian average of 5.7%.
