(ANSA) – PERUGIA, 14 SEPT – The fifth edition of the international short film review Orvieto Cinema Fest is scheduled in Orvieto, at the Mancinelli Theater, from 20 to 24 September, which will address issues such as human, social, environmental and gender and the environmental issue. At the head of the festival a female team formed by the two co-founders: Sara Carpinelli administrative director and Stefania Fausto artistic director, flanked in the organization by Valentina Dalmonte and Francesca Bonfanti. The festival is divided into three categories of short films in competition (national, international and animations); seven national and one world premieres and 28 titles presented. There are four locations: the Mancinelli Theater for the projections, the New Public Library “Luigi Fumi”, the San Giovenale for the closing party and Palazzo Coelli, where the exhibition of the 15 finalist works of the themed illustration contest will be set up ” The invisible “. The jury is chaired by Stefano Cipani, flanked by Beatrice Baldacci and Benedetta Pini who will have the task of decreeing the winning shorts, to which this year is also added a jury composed of some members of the National Union of Italian Film Critics with the task of assigning an ad hoc Award. Also confirmed the MyMovies award. The program opens on Tuesday 20 September, at 6 pm, at Palazzo Coelli with the opening vernissage of the exhibition of the finalist works of the illustration contest, the reading by the Associazione Lettere Portali and the awarding of the winner of the contest “Climate Change? Claim the Change! ” in collaboration with the non-governmental organization Acra and promoted by the Italian Buddhist Institute. At 7 pm at the Luigi Fiumi Library there will be a guide to listening to Franco Battiato’s discography. All events are free. The screenings of the short films will be held at the Mancinelli Theater on 21, 22, 23 (at 21) and Saturday 24 at 18.30 as the evening will continue with the award ceremony scheduled for 20:30 and the Closing Party with free admission in San Giovenale with dj set by Bruno Bellissimo (at 10:30 pm).
