(ANSA) – GENOA, 14 SEPT – Over a thousand boats, 998 brands, 168 novelties: these are some of the numbers of the 62nd edition of the Genoa Boat Show which will open its doors from 22 to 26 September and consolidates important numbers for the sector: growth record of 30% of turnover in 2021, according to estimates and an export of Italian boats in the world that from March 2021 to April 2022 exceeded 3.3 billion, the all-time high. And the shipyards have orders in some cases up to 2024. “In the wake of the future” is the claim of this edition which is that of “consolidation” said the president of Confindustria Nautica Saverio Cecchi presenting the event. “Eight days before the start, tickets already sold are 37.3% more than last year – added Cecchi -. It will be a beautiful show even in the difficulties for the Walterfront works which, when ready, will mean two hundred seats in more”. The exhibition spaces, over 200 thousand square meters, have however increased overall by 3.7% and in water by 5.2% and there will be a new quay available to the three brands Sanlorenzo, Ferretti and Azimut. It will also be a show dedicated to sustainability, with a company that will measure its “carbon footprint”. (HANDLE).
