(ANSA) – ROME, SEPTEMBER 14 – With its natural beauty and six UNESCO sites, from the iconic Petra to the recent choice of the city of Salt, the Kingdom of Jordan is a country partner of TTG Travel Experience 2022. The international tourism exhibition signed by Italian Exhibition Group at the Rimini fair from 12 to 14 October next, in conjunction with SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach & Outdoor Style, hosts about fifty international destinations in the pavilions of The World between countries, regions and cities of the Americas, Middle and Far East, the Mediterranean shore of Africa, archipelagos and Europe. Among these, Jordan is the foreign country of choice that brings its new tourist identity to the TTG: the kingdom of time.
The symbolic and historical wealth of Salt, city of tolerance and civil hospitality, in 2021 the first urban center in Jordan to be elected Unesco site, after the three archaeological sites of Petra, Amra and Umm Al Rassas, and again: the desert of Wadi Rum and the Bethany baptismal site across the Jordan River.
“Kingdom of time” means a country in which geological time accelerates in the center of a city, slows down on a dive in the Aqaba Red Sea coral reef until it stops at the lowest point on the planet, the Dead Sea, or below. the sky in the Wadi Rum desert. An approach to travel times and experiences that sets no real limits, in tune with the main idea of the 2022 edition of TTG Travel Experience: “Unbound”, without constraints, which photographs the new needs of the post-pandemic traveler. After only 4 months from the reopening of the foreign borders, thanks also to the air connections operated by three companies, Royal Jordanian, Ryanair and Wizz Air, Amman sees Italian tourists at the top of continental arrivals with over 30 thousand presences, a boom that repeats itself after the great performances of 2018 and 2019, to which the JTB aims to return with large promotional investments.
