The president and Giorgio Marsiaj: “Even today, growth remains the primary objective”
From an intuition of the young brothers Piero and Giorgio Marsiaj, Sabelt was born in Turin on 20 September 1972, an acronym for Safety Belt, a manufacturer of safety belts and car seats.
Today Sabelt supplies 7 out of 10 Formula 1 teams and the main Motorsport teams (e.g. Ferrari, Porsche, Alpine, Cupra), and thanks to a focus on customer diversification, it has established itself as a supplier to the most prestigious car manufacturers such as Ferrari, McLaren, Aston Martin, Alpine, Maserati, Abarth and Cupra.
In the last 5 years it has increased its workforce by over 200 people, a trend that does not intend to slow down, setting itself as a goal for the next 3 years, the inclusion of a further 150 professional figures. Despite the market uncertainties of recent years, Sabelt will also recover 100% of its pre-covid turnover in 2022 and is working to overcome the 100 million euro annual turnover threshold in the next two years.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Sabelt organized a “family day” with employees and their families at the historic headquarters in Moncalieri (Turin). Giorgio Marsiaj, president and CEO of Sabelt and president of the Industrial Union of Turin, declared: “« Growth is the primary objective. Because growth creates work and in Sabelt we want to pursue a path of constant development and long-term partnerships with customers and suppliers. Today Sabelt is a solid company, 100% owned by my family, but highly managerialized. My two sons Gregorio and Massimiliano, who hold the position of Vice-Presidents, work side by side with a solid and competent management to ensure the maintenance of a long-term strategy ».CopyAMP code.
