For six months, from October 2021 to April 2022, they crossed Sicily on foot: a journey of 850 km, stopping for a few days also in Gela, to promote the riches of the area, spread geology and environmental issues. But the “Cammino Adagio” by Walter Capella and Elisa Rocco does not stop and aims for a new adventure starting from April 2023, a second chapter of the journey that goes from Puglia to Tuscany.
To finance the first part of the trip, from Santa Maria di Leuca to Isernia, the two young “explorers” launched a crowfunding campaign on ideaginger.it. “We aim to slow down and get to know the nuances of each place – they explain -, study their sources, listen to those who live there”, also through the organization of events on the theme of sustainability and environmental education.
“Regardless of the final sum – underline the two protagonists of” Cammino Adagio “- we will donate 5% of the proceeds to one of the most effective organizations in improving the conditions of farm animals because we would like, while we are here, to give in turn a small contribution to causes that are important to us ».CopyAMP code.
