(ANSA) – MILAN, SEPTEMBER 14 – A common fight for the wages and rights of all workers: this is the platform of the basic and alternative European unions shared at the Forum, which took place in Rome, and in which delegates took part from Italy, France, Spain, Germany and Switzerland.
Various programmatic points were shared for the defense of incomes “against the austerity policies promoted by the various Governments” and initiatives of struggle were agreed in view of the autumn of mobilization in the various European countries.
“Decent wages and working conditions for all; public services and popular incomes against inflation, speculation on the cost of energy sources and the high bills affecting businesses and families; policies for the ecological emergency and the need for disarmament, to starting with the nuclear one “: these, in short, are the main requests.
“The current war context, which involves us at a European level in an unbearable war economy, urgently raises the need for a reflection on international trade union policies”, was underlined by the trade unions.
Among the participants for Italy Cub, Unicobas, Usi Cit, Adl Varese and Cobas Sardegna; CGT and Intersindical for Spain; Fau for Germany; Federation Syndicale Sud for Switzerland and Solidaires for France. (HANDLE).
