BrodettoFest: boom in visitors, Sunday is the last day of celebration

BrodettoFest got off to a great start: the Simonetti seafront was stormed by thousands of visitors already on the opening day with the show by Gianmarco Tognazzi interviewed on the spectacular central stage by Paolo Notari and sold out for all scheduled appointments, from the cooking show with chef Davide Di Fabio at the Brodetto & Kids space, in collaboration with Mipaaf. Great protagonists also the fishermen in the new Bro space, with the great cuisine of Brodetto alla Fano sold like hot cakes.

Sunday 11, third and last day of appointments: at 1 pm lunch by starred chef Cristiano Tomei (L’imbuto restaurant – Lucca) who will amaze the public with the creative recipe: Bro – said. Frequent guest of various television programs – from “La prova del cuoco” to “Masterchef Magazine” – Tomei is the judge of the culinary talent show “The kings of the grill”. From 2017 to “Cuochi d’Italia” and from January 2019 he launched the program “Pupi e Fornelli” on TV together with Pupo.

Great expectations for the evening cooking show by Ruben Bondì, born in 1997, of “cooking with Ruben”. At 8 pm, the chef, famous on social media for his particular open-air cuisine on the terrace, will take the stage of the large tensile structure of the Lido (Simonetti seafront) with the recipe “Redfish, mullet and tomato soup”. The coordination of the kitchen brigade of the Palabrodetto is by the chef Antonio Bedini. Dish-wine pairing by the Vignaioli d’Autore, a project that brings together 9 historic cellars of the Doc Bianchello del Metauro. On the occasion of the celebration of the twentieth edition, the BrodettoFest becomes the scene of the launch of the project of the Municipality of Fano, Department of Tourism: Discover Fano Gastronomica. With Massimo Seri, Mayor of Fano and Etienn Lucarelli, Councilor for Tourism.

The evening of the Central Stage closes (9.30 pm) with the scenic reading “In Vino Veritas” by and with Vinicio Marchioni in collaboration with CineFortunae. A wonderful journey into literature, music and humanity that has developed around the cult of wine and all that this represents: meeting, friendship, going beyond the limits of what is granted, creation, despair and joy of living. A light and poetic tribute to wine, like a dinner with old friends that lingers in the night. Vinicio Marchioni will alternate personal stories, poems, maxims, stories taken from classic myths inspired by wine interspersed with vintage records, taking the public into an “other” dimension through the art of the story.

Not only cooking but also sport at the BrodettoFest. On Sunday morning, waiting for the cooking shows, at the Circolo Windsurfing in Fano, at 11:30, the Brodetto Cup will be held, the third round of the X championship in the windsurfer class area.

The collaboration with Legambiente is renewed again this year, organizing three events on Sunday 11 September to educate adults and children on the topic of sustainability. The first meeting will be at 8:30 with the workshop “A sea to love”, waste collection on the beach and in the sea at the Animalido dog beach, Arzilla. At 5 pm the Brodetto & Kids space will host the educational creative recycling workshop for children “Il Mare Nascosto” and, finally, at 7 pm, the seminar “A plastic sea” moderated and presented by Pamela Canistro, president of the Club will be held at the Central Stage. BrodettoFest is also the party of all children thanks to Brodetto & Kids the playful-educational project, in collaboration with the MIPAAF – Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies, which children and families like so much, because through free and group play , the little ones are involved in the discovery and knowledge of healthy eating. For children up to 4 years of age, creative educational workshops are scheduled every day from 6 to 9 pm and from 8 to 9 pm interactive narratives and soup-themed fairy tales. Instead, for children aged 4 and up, every day from 6 pm: ‘If the Prof says so’, the meeting with the marine biologist Corrado Piccinetti to discover the fish of the Adriatic Sea. From 7 pm Coldiretti will take care of the didactic food education workshops to help you discover the benefits of a product’s seasonality, its zero kilometer provenance. At 8 pm ‘Guarda & Gusta’ cooking show for children, with tasting. At 9.30 pm on Friday game show ‘I Cervellini’ (quiz with themed questions ‘Il Brodetto di Fano’).

The appointment with Spazio Bro – La Cucina dei Pescatori will continue on Sunday for a taste of Brodetto alla Fano, prepared in pots, a recipe that highlights the combination of fish and tomato for one of the best fish soups in Italy. In collaboration with Antonio Gaudenzi.
The brodetto will be at the center of the menu of the local restaurants connected to the event by the brodettoBus.
Also this year the appointment with Luca Cervo and his Pizza Bro is renewed.
And there will be the Moretta, a typical fishermen’s drink: on Sunday 11, starting at 10, at the Tinto restaurant in Lido di Fano, the Masterclasses will be staged with the judges of Moretta & Co.coktails Competition. At 10 am the barman, mixologist and author of the very popular Cocktail Engineering Blog, dedicated to higher education, Giovanni Ceccarelli will hold the masterclass entitled “Scraps, waste and Zero Waste Mixing”. Afterwards (11 am) it will be the turn of Flavio Angiolillo with “Non solo Negroni” and finally, at 12 noon, “Smarter, Faster, Better… COCKTAILS”, curated by Luca Cinalli. At 7 pm it will be time for the highly anticipated final of the Moretta & Co competition. In the Meet Moretta Area, the 3 semi-finalists (decreed on Saturday) will fight each other showing the best of their skills. The final will be divided into two parts: that of the “Cocktail Brodetto” with ingredients chosen from the Mystery Box and that of the “Moretta Twist” with the best reinterpretations of the brunette proposed during registration. Leading the competition is Spiridione Ripaldi, who has been involved in the production, coordination and organization of events for over 20 years.
