In Val d’Ossola gressonara ahead of Spanish Arenas and Sevillano

Double blue gold at the Skyrunning World Championships (mountain running) which take place in Val d’Ossola (Verbano Cusio Ossola). The 36-year-old enfant du pays Cristian Minoggio, in fact, went to the top step of the podium of the Skyultra discipline, while among the women the victory went to Giuditta Turini (33) from Valle d’Aosta.
The Cannobiese Minoggio (5h28’24 “) finished the 57.8 km route and 3.508 meters of ascent ahead of the Australian Blake Turner (6h04’45”) and the Spanish Alejandro Mayor (6h05’20). Gressonara Turini (6h49’35 “) left behind the Spaniards Gemma Arenas (7h04’51”) and Sandra Sevillano (7h5’22 “).
Skyultra is the toughest of the three disciplines of the Skyrunning World Championships, which also include Vertical and Skyrace.
There are 35 nations in the race.
