(ANSA) – GENOA, SEPTEMBER 10 – The procedure in the Liguria Region for the “Sub-port urban tunnel for crossing the city of Genoa” is in progress. A managerial decree of the Region’s Environmental Impact Assessment and Sustainable Development Sector takes stock with a detailed dossier highlighting the critical issues and hypotheses for solutions that emerged on the proposal made by the company Autostrade per l’Italia. The nodes concern the Levante Waterfront project, in correspondence with the connecting ramps to the Madre di Dio area. There is also interference with the forecast of the New Galliera Hospital. Due to the interference with the elevated port viability planned in the San Benigno area under construction, in the study of the route it was found that, for a stretch, the main pipes interfere with the foundations on the poles of the port viaducts. Interference with the port tracks was also highlighted. Possible interferences also result with the project for the construction of the new breakwater of the port of Genoa. The western entrance area of the new sub-port tunnel is affected by the adaptation and enhancement projects of the San Benigno road junction aimed at connecting with the urban, port, Lungomare Canepa road network and with the west Genoa motorway tollbooth, a new port crossing in elevation. The Port System Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea also provided some observations on the interactions between the sub-port tunnel intervention and the projects that envisage the construction of a new internal and external road network to the port area through the creation of corridors and accesses dedicated to traffic. heavy and adaptation of the security infrastructures of the Port of Genoa.
