(ANSA) – TRECASE, 02 SEPT – Traces of him had been lost yesterday: he was found safe and sound after 24 hours in a cliff where he had fallen. It is the story with a happy ending that comes from Trecase (Naples), a town on the slopes of Vesuvius where there was no more news of Francesco Celentano, a sprightly ninety-year-old, who yesterday afternoon – as he often does – had left home to take a walk but he never came home.
Immediate reporting of the disappearance of relatives, which was followed by the appeals of family friends. Today the searches, carried out by the carabinieri of the Torre Annunziata company, with the help of a police helicopter and some volunteers, have given the desired outcome: the man was found on a cliff in the area known as the Cantinelle. From what has been learned he had slipped but fortunately without particular physical consequences, so much so that first to the rescuers and then to the personnel on duty on an ambulance of 118 the man appeared in excellent health conditions. He was then taken home without having to go to the hospital first. Upon his arrival a big party, with pats on the back and souvenir photos of a misadventure that ended well. (HANDLE).
