New step in the process that will allow to definitively consolidate the San Giusto district in Misilmeri and to fix its bad roads. The Office against hydrogeological instability of the Sicilian Region has in fact published the tender to entrust the updating of the old project carried out by the city administration. The technicians who will be awarded the assignment will also have to carry out the geological investigations and draw up the risk assessment document and the archaeological impact of the planned works. To submit bids electronically in the offices in Piazza Ignazio Florio there is time until next 17 October. The amount foreseen by the announcement is 338 thousand euros.

The San Giusto district, which is located at the foot of the Rocca delle Ciavole, stands on an unstable slope. Its subsoil is in fact affected by a considerable circulation of water which causes a widespread condition of hydrostatic imbalance even in existing buildings. Up to now, great inconveniences have caused particularly persistent rains due to the large amount of soil that settles along the streets every time. To fortify the slope above and prevent flooding, bulkheads of poles and water collection systems will therefore be built. The road surface will be completely redone.
