Perugia, 1 September 2022 – The agents of the Perugia State Police intervened at a commercial establishment, located in via Rosselletti, where the theft of some products by two foreign citizens – born in 1981 and 1971 – had been reported. having hidden goods in their bags, they had tried to leave the shop without paying.
Arriving at the scene, the operators made contact with a supermarket employee – in charge of the security service – who reported having noticed the two women wandering suspiciously among the shelves. After observing them discreetly, she had seen them take some groceries from the shelves and divide them between the shopping cart and their bags.
At that point, after paying for part of the products, the women had tried to overcome the anti-theft devices to leave the supermarket. The employee of the shop, promptly intervened, after having stopped them had called the Unique European Emergency Number.
The agents of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office, intervened on the spot, decided to have the two women checked and found some food products inside the two bags.
For these reasons they accompanied them to the Police Headquarters for a complete identification. At the end of the ritual activities, the two foreign citizens were referred to the Judicial Authority for the crime of aggravated theft in competition..
