(ANSA) – BARI, 01 SEPT – In July in all the Apulian provinces there was an increase in mortality compared to the same month of 2021, with a peak of 22% more in Brindisi and 16% more in Bari (+ 15% in Taranto, + 10% in Lecce, + 5% in Foggia), “also due to the heat waves that characterized the summer of 2022”. Coldiretti Puglia notes this, based on Istat data, announcing “the first DIY life-saving box to have live the ‘health coupon’ on pressure, aging, fitness and stress, parameters related to daily habits starting from those at the table”.
The ‘medical capsule’ mentioned by Coldiretti, built on a project by the Politecnico di Milano, “allows the user, in total privacy and safety, to carry out a series of tests on the person’s state of form and well-being, in a space smaller than 3 square meters, all automated without external intervention “. Once the tests are completed, a report with the results is delivered, also equipped with a ‘Qr code’ which allows access to the Capsula cloud, where more detailed information and suggestions can be obtained. “Attention to suitable behaviors and nutrition and prevention activities – explains Angelo Marseglia, president of the pensioners association of Coldiretti Puglia – are particularly important in those at risk such as the 130,000 elderly over 80 years present in Puglia”.
