The collective of Romagna artists entitled Lights on the watercurated by Franco Bertoni, is proposed as an opportunity to investigate contemporary art in Romagna and in particular on those artists who have maintained strong relations with the great historical and twentieth-century figurative tradition.

It is known that in Romagna the figurative art has expressed, during the twentieth century, significant figures not only locally but at least nationally and that, with more evidence than has happened in other Italian areas, has shown up to our days a singular linguistic refresher skills.

For the occasion, a selection was made that was certainly not exhaustive but rather by samples, in order to offer the public a partial but nevertheless suggestive view of the many and various operations in progress. The theme, suggested by the place and tradition of the Marina di Ravenna Prize, is that of water: a natural element that, over time, has fascinated artists and covered the most diverse symbolic values.

Works by Paola Babini, Onorio Bravi, Paola Campidelli, Innokentij Fateev, Stefano Gattelli, Enrico Lombardi, Mauro Maltoni, Nedo Merendi, Enrico Minguzzi, Claudio Montini, Roberto Pagnani, Mauro Pipani, Luca Piovaccari, Carlo Ravaioli, Cesare Reggiani and Monica will be exhibited Spade.
