Without even a dose of vaccine, 11.5% of the Marches over 5

(ANSA) – ANCONA, 01 SEPT – Cases of positivity to Covid-19 in the Marches decreased sharply in the week 24-30 August: an improved performance was recorded for the cases currently positive per 100 thousand inhabitants (419) and a decrease in new cases (-24.5%) compared to the previous week. This is evidenced by the data of the weekly monitoring of the Gimbe Foundation. The list of new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants of the last week divided by province: Macerata 354 (-27.4% compared to the previous week), Ascoli Piceno 354 (-28.2%), Fermo 344 (-17.3% ), Ancona 308 (-23%), Pesaro and Urbino 254 (-19.8%). The region remains below the national average for beds in the medical area (7.8% of the total) and in intensive care (1.3%) occupied by Covid-19 patients.

On the vaccine front, the percentage of the population over 5 years that has not received any dose of vaccine is equal to 11.5% (Italy average 9.7%) to which we must add the population over 5 years who are temporarily protected, as they have recovered from Covid. -19 less than 180 days, equal to 3.3%; the percentage of the over 5-year-old population that has not received the third dose of vaccine is 10.7% (Italy average 10.8%) to which the over-5-year-old population healed for less than 120 days, which cannot receive the third dose immediately, equal to 6.3%. the vaccination coverage rate with fourth dose is 11.5% (Italy average 17.3%).
