(ANSA) – L’AQUILA, 01 SEPT – The eighth edition of the “Italian Jazz for earthquake lands” ends in L’Aquila over the weekend, an event that strengthens the commitment at the forefront in the lands of the crater of four regions involved – Abruzzo, Lazio, Marche and Umbria – confirming the involvement and organization of the National Federation “Il Jazz Italiano” and the operational coordination of the Jazz association in L’Aquila.
The project soon came to life on August 27 in Camerino (Macerata) with a musical event that started the fourth edition of the Solidarity Way (a week of concerts and trekking in the heart of the Terre del Sisma), to start at the end of L’Aquila, with two days full of great concerts (3 and 4 September). The artistic direction, as chosen by the Federation as early as 2020, sees three different voices: Riccardo Brazzale (musician, artistic director of Vicenza Jazz Festival), Claudio Filippini (musician) and Francesco Mariotti (artistic director of Pisa Jazz).
The program, presented in L’Aquila in a conference in the municipal headquarters of Palazzo Fibbioni, will begin on Saturday 3 September at 4 pm, at the Fontana delle 99 Cannelle. Over 200 musicians will be involved, with renewed attention to the projects of the new generations, to original productions and to different musical languages. Main stage in Piazza Duomo, where on Saturday Enrico Rava, Anais Drago, the Big Band of the “Casella” Conservatory will perform, Furio Di Castri Quintet “Furious Mingus”, the special project “Le Nuvole di Pier Paolo”, the Funk Off and the Odwalla ensemble conducted by Massimo Barbiero.
