FESTIVALS AND REVIEWS
For those who want to spend a day with the children, Saturday 25 June at the Mother Teresa Park in Calcutta in Catania there is the event entitled “Sprouts – another park is possible”. ‘sign of active citizenship and conviviality in one of the green areas of our city.
MUSIC AND DANCE
Several evening appointments in the company of music (with free admission) in Palermo.
Evening with different shades of Afro-Brazilian music, the one scheduled for Saturday 25 June at the Galleria delle Vittorie, thanks to the presence of the “Fernardo Fyaman duo”.
Also on Saturday 25th, starting at 9.30 pm, Supersonic debut at ModCafè, the reference venue of Brit rock, bringing a setlist characterized by the most iconic and sparkling songs of the Manchester band.
If, on the other hand, you want to spend an evening out of town, just walk a few kilometers and arrive In the heart of Carini, Saturday 25 June, the Almoad Parco Cittadino in Carini hosts a tribute to U2 with the live of Walk On.
Sunday music evenings are instead scheduled in Campofelice di Roccella where the Pianeta Mare Beach Club hosts the Liga Park live scheduled at 6.30 pm; and at Isola delle Femmine where, starting from 10pm, we pay homage to Claudio Baglioni’s successes at the beach club on the Amerigo Vespucci seafront.
THEATER AND CABARET
A (free) opportunity to go to the theater is that offered by Balate Theater in the heart of Ballarò that raises the curtain after more than two years and does so with the show “Labirinto: dal miti al teatro”.
The show is written by Dario Ferrari and Nina Lombardino, who also direct it, and is staged from 23 to 25 June, by the Liberiteatri association, with the collaboration of the Regional Department of Cultural Heritage and Sicilian Identity. At the end of the show a glass of wine is offered.
TO Palermo there is an “invasion” of animals in the green spaces, to the delight and amazement of the children who will see maxi sculptures of snails, rabbits, cats, swallows, elephants, turtles and penguins at Villa Trabia and Villa Malfitano Whitaker.
Also in Palermo, at Palazzo Abatellis, there is the ninth edition of “Journey to Sicily” entitled “Cups of stars in the circle of the sun” from the verses of the Arab-Sicilian philologist and poet Ibn al-Qattâ, referring to wine and natural phenomena, a precious trace of a rich production and an indelible intertwining of cultures.
And again, the photographic exhibition entitled “Archivio Volume Uno” at “Baco About Photogtaphs” in Palermo was inaugurated on Friday 10 June. The exhibition, which can be visited until 21 July, includes the first photos from his archive.
