The woman had been ill for years and died on Friday 17 June: Fabio, returning from his wife’s cremation, felt ill and suffered a fatal heart attack, leaving the whole family in shock. They leave behind a 10-year-old daughter, Mia. The mayor of Monte Argentario, Franco Borghini, expressed his condolences thus: «I am deeply affected and saddened: the death of Fabio four days after that of Margherita can only arouse strong emotions and particular reflections. An established professional, he leaves an unbridgeable void in us all. My deepest condolences and sincere participation in their pain go to his parents, his children and his brother Marco who, as an employee of our Municipality, has daily relations with me.
