As reconstructed by the military, the man would have spent an evening with a high alcohol content around clubs, before getting on board his own large pleasure boat, wandering without a precise destination. It happened that a police patrol boat of the carabinieri intercepted him, immediately assessing the situation of extreme danger. The operators tried several times to attract his attention, managing after a few attempts to intercept him and stop his march.
