Over 59,000 liters of fuel seized and a clandestine distribution plant in Catania and Palma Di Montechiaro (Agrigento). Three reported.

The financiers of the Provincial Command of Catania also triggered the seals for two tankers. The fuel would have been blended with low-quality oils.

The interventions also made it possible to identify a large area in Catania destined for clandestine fuel deposits, in the complex of which two cisterns and as many metal tanks were also seized, with dispensing unit and liter-counting apparatus; in some cases, the fuel subjected to control and subsequent seizure was obtained by mixing low-quality oils and therefore, once put on the market in roadside distributors and destined for refueling, could have caused serious damage to cars.

In a roadside fuel distribution plant in Palma di Montechiaro, illicitly blended products were seized, preventing their retail sale.

The seizures have been validated. Finally, eight checks were carried out on road distributors aimed at ascertaining compliance with the legislation on price discipline, noting that in six cases the required communications had not been made.
