291 thousand families benefited from the support
In 2021 in Campania the use of citizenship income, and more generally of income support measures, increased by more than 10% compared to the previous year. The percentage of families residing in Campania who benefited from the citizenship income, or the citizenship pension, in 2021 rose to 13.3% (291 thousand households in absolute). The percentage rises to over 16% if we also consider the emergency income, distributed to another 78 thousand families. The figure emerges from the report on the Campania economy drawn up by the Bank of Italy and presented today at the Federico II University of NAPLES. In fact, one in six Campania families is benefiting from an income support measure. This – underlines the report – despite the recovery in employment levels recorded in 2021.
