We are convinced that the best promotion of the Tropea experience in the world is imbued with and draws light from the virtuous experiences and professionalism with which we have shared paths, visions, results and prospects over the years. Among the many global ambassadors of the beauty of our identity heritage, there can only be Antonio Aricò, soul of the Materia Design Festival which, after last months edition, will return to the Principality at the end of September. Designer of the important Magna Grecia collection, signed by Seletti, protagonist in these weeks of the Maison & Object Fair, the brilliant Calabrian designer has brought Tropea as a cultural and creative tourist destination and with it the whole of Calabria on the most important international sector magazines such as Elle Decor , French fashion magazine.

Complimenting the architect for this new and prestigious creative project and thanking him for the attention he continues to devote to the emotions of his land which was Magna Graeca, the Mayor Giovanni Macrì takes the opportunity to underline how the identity path, stimulator of suggestions and of millennial narratives, remains one of the keys to understanding the planning and tourist investment of the Municipal Administration.

When asked by the journalist about future projects, Aricò replied: I want to continue to reconcile the North and South of Italy. From Seletti, of course, with new objects designed for the outdoors. But I’m also preparing a completely different collection for Dolce & Gabbana, still very Mediterranean. I would also like to develop an artist residency in my region, in Tropea, with a view of the Stromboli volcano and the Strait of Messina.

Magna Graecia is a modern take on the Greek relics of southern Italy. It is a collection of objects for indoors and outdoors. The design objects are made of terracotta, a material closely linked to the Mediterranean tradition and typical of all of southern Italy. With this in mind, Aricò presents the project to bring those warm and sunny atmospheres to interiors all over the world.
