On January 18, the Adidas jersey makes its debut in a friendly match
The 2023 Azzurro will open under the banner of the National Youth teams. On Wednesday 18 January (2.30 pm, live streaming on the FIGC website) the Under-18 national teams of Italy and Spain will inaugurate the new football year by facing off in a friendly match in Coverciano which will also see the official debut of the shirt signed by the new adidas technical partner.
On January 18 (17) in Torremolinos Italy and Spain will also be engaged with their respective Under 19 national teams for a match that will continue on Wednesday 25 January (2.30 pm, live streaming on the FIGC website), when the Under 17 national teams will face each other in Coverciano.
In between, again on the fields of the Federal Technical Centre, there will be room for the double friendly match between the Under 15 national team and the same age group of Albania: the first match will be played on Tuesday 24 January (2.30 pm, live streaming on the FIGC website), with the second match scheduled for Thursday 26 January (10.30 am).
The first women’s national team to take the field in 2023 will instead be the Under 17s: the Azzurrine will start the new year by hosting Norway at the Tirrenia Olympic Training Center for a double test (25 and 27 January) which they will be able to provide to coach Jacopo Leandri useful information in view of the commitment at the end of March in the second qualifying phase for the European Championship
