It is the day of grief in Comezzano Cizzago: the funeral of Federico Doga, the 16-year-old boy who died in a tragic road accident in Iseo, will be celebrated on Monday afternoon at 3 pm. The body rests in the Zammarchi farewell house in Lograto: the last farewell is expected from 3 pm in the parish church of Comezzano. Federico leaves his mother Chiara with Daniele, his father Piercarlo with Carla, his grandparents Mariarosa and Aldo, his uncles Daniele and Sara with Filippo. Family members say they are “heartbroken”.
Federico Doga was run over by two cars on Saturday evening in Iseo. It was around 8pm when he was hit while crossing the street in Via Roma: he was supposed to spend the evening with some friends. He didn’t die on the spot, but a little later in the hospital from the very serious injuries he sustained. Hit by two cars that would later collide: both drivers, a 39-year-old from Iseo and a 49-year-old from Villongo, would be investigated for road homicide. However, both were found to be negative on drug and alcohol tests. Police investigations continue.
The young Federico Doga lived in Comezzano but was also well known in Rovato. Here he attended the third class of the economic and social high school at the Gigli institute: moreover, he has been wearing the Rugby Rovato jacket since he was 6 years old. A (nice) family vice: the mother Chiara Galli was coach of the women’s team, her husband Daniele Porrino was technical director of Rugby Rovato, former coach of the women’s national team, now coach in Parabiago. On Facebook, many messages of condolence from all rugby clubs, provincial and beyond.
Starting with Rugby Rovato: “We hold each other in a strong hug to parents Chiara and Daniele. There are no words, rest in peace Federico”. And then the mayor, Tiziano Belotti: “Federico was your child, the one you raised with so much love and sacrifices, that boy that a tragic fate slipped from your hands the other night. Federico had grown up well, just as you have dozens and dozens of other children in Rugby Rovato have grown up in recent years. You are Federico’s parents, but your children are the dozens of kids you have made to grow up a little bit, with the same love, affection and passion with which you raised Faith”.
Condolences also from the Lorenzo Gigli high school: “The Gigli institute of Rovato, in the person of the head teacher Davide Uboldi – reads a note – and in representation of all the school components, expresses condolences and closeness to the family of Federico Doga, prematurely disappeared on the streets of Iseo”.CopyAMP code.
