AVIANO – Terrible fall on a snowboard, the ambulance arrives but there is nothing to do: a 44-year-old man died. In Piancavallo, in the municipality of Aviano, on the Tremol 2 slope, a man lost his life following a trauma from a fall on the ski slopes. The medical helicopter of Pieve di Cadore has intervened. Unfortunately, there was nothing left to do but decree death, despite the sudden activation of the medical aid machine.

The victim

The deceased is a Chinese tourist from Hong Kong, born in 1978. Checks are underway to see if he was staying in Piancavallo. He was probably snowboarding alone, as no friends or relatives contacted the rescuers. The investigations by the carabinieri of the Aviano station are underway. Tomorrow afternoon the coroner will carry out the cadaveric inspection to establish the causes of death.

Second accident

Also in Piancavallo, around 2 pm, a 13-year-old was injured on the same Tremol 2 slope. The slope rescue was activated and the minor was transported in yellow code to the Pordenone hospital by ambulance.
