A protest that is more social than real. The elusive “truckers strike”Scheduled for today, September 27, for protest against the Green Pass, is turning out to be a flop.

A strike born online, between Telegram and Facebook, to block Italy against the “health dictatorship” and the introduction of the obligation of the green certificate in the public and private sector. For days now a ‘flyer’ has been spreading in chats announcing a seven-day national mobilization, from today to 4 October, to cause “slowdowns on motorways throughout Italy, all at 30km / h and arrows to recognize us”. The target? Stop the “criminals in power against the slavery passport, the vaccination obligation, the Covid scam and the established dictatorship, for freedom”.

At the moment though the warning of a possible road block remains unfounded: as shown by the Autostrade per l’Italia website, so far on road traffic there are no slowdowns due to events or other types of ‘unforeseen’ events, but only for accidents and works.

Instead, several videos circulate on social media, in particular Telegram and TikTok, of scattered protests of truck drivers traveling at reduced speed, but the the number of hauliers who joined the “strike” appears to be very small compared to the media bombing that took place in recent days.

Among the same ‘strikers’ there are also those who evoke the conspiracy and the “regime censorship” against the protest: “The slowdowns caused by the truck drivers’ protest are not reported. Do not search on dynamic maps or on the radio (they also managed to intervene there), we are waiting for videos and we will disclose them. A 360-degree disgust, Draghi’s Italy is a dictatorship ”, obviously denounces one of the ‘fans’ of the protest without any proof.

The protest started today and will end in a week it has not received any go-ahead from the trade unions. “We have nothing to do with this initiative”, the CISL Toscana told the Resto del Carlino. “There is no social claim, no manifesto, no document to negotiate at the tables. There is only one media tam tam that no one knows who started it from. There is nothing organized, no coordination ”, he added instead Michele Santoni, Tuscan president of Cna Fita.
