Supra-municipal entities, in liquidation since 2011, cost the Region over one million euros a year. By December, the majority should decide on an ad hoc bill. Meanwhile, Molise Centrale, which has auctioned its headquarters, is the holder of the authorizations for the Montagano waste disposal plant which could reach saturation in 2023
In the programmatic declarations to the Chamber, the new premier Giorgia Meloni expressed her intention to “give help to mountain communities”, born in 1971 with law 1102 for the defense of the soil and to carry out supra-municipal functions. In Molise, the existing entities have been in liquidation since 2011 by regional law and managed – from extension to extension, the last until next December 31 – by the liquidators Domenico Marinelli (Molise Centrale); Giovancarmine Mancini (Cigno Valle Biferno, Trigno Medio Biferno and Monte Mauro) and Carlo Antonio Perrella (Matese and Fortore Molisano) and cost the Region over one million euros per year.
In addition to still having a real estate assets difficult to place on the market, as evidenced by the second notice for the sale of the Molise Centrale headquarters in the Poggio Verde district in Ferrazzano, whose offers that can be presented by 12 noon on 14 November next on an amount based on an auction of 900 thousand euros with the opening of the envelopes the next day. The same supra-municipal body is also the holder of the authorizations for the Montagano waste disposal plant which serves over 50 municipalities. Considering that, in 2023, the landfill could reach saturation, we need a regional law that redefines the framework with respect to these entities.
According to what has been learned, next month there could be news in this regard considering that the majority is called to express themselves on a bill lying in the Regional Council that would provide three new “super Montane Communities” with fewer municipalities and new functions, such as services for digitization. But times are tight and a new stalemate could have very serious consequences. (adimo)
