On the occasion of the VIII edition of Grand Tour Culture of the Marche region, ‘Terre d’Oltre’ – the network formed by the Municipalities of Recanati, Porto Recanati and Loreto for the enhancement and synergistic promotion of the territory – presents the new project ‘Marche Terra d’Oltre’, an exhibition dedicated to the story of emigration by the Museum of the Marchigiana Emigration.

A cycle of three events with free admission – the 10 December in Recanation 28 January 2023 in Loreto e on February 26, 2023 in Porto Recanati – which will see the author and performer as protagonist Maximiliano Cimatti in literary readings on the great epic of the Marche emigration. A phenomenon that has largely affected the Marche region, especially in the period between late 19th and early 20th century and which saw the territory of the three municipalities of the network among the areas most involved in depopulation in favor of countries such as Argentina and the United States.

“With the Marche Terra d’Oltre project, the network that we have set up between the three municipalities is being implemented and enhanced with a new cultural project”, said the Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Recanati Rita Soccio. “The regional initiative of the Grand Tour of Culture gave us the opportunity to design a unique path that united our cities with a single topic, enhancing the peculiarities of each one. Starting from MeMa Museum of Regional Marchigiana Emigration that we are lucky enough to host in our city, the many stories that belong to the collective memory of our communities are told and made known. Being able to collaborate in network projects aimed at the promotion and growth of the entire territory is the goal we are pursuing with other municipalities as well. “

The exhibition ‘Marche Terra d’Oltre will therefore start from Recanati next December 10th, a highly symbolic date for the Region in which the Marche Day is celebrated every year, established in 2005 to reflect on the history, culture and traditions of the Marche in the Marche and in the world. The show is scheduled ‘Once upon a time in Argentina’ which will highlight the close relationship that unites the Marche to the great South American country and will be held in the Civic Museum of Villa Colloredo Mels at 5.30 pm.

On January 28, 2023 the project will stop in Loreto, in the Council Hall of the Town Hall at 5.30 pm with the show ‘The veins of the earth’ dedicated to the hard work of Italians in the mine, the story of an ancient and indissoluble bond, with the participation of Martin Navello. The exhibition will close on February 26, 2023 in Porto Recanati with ‘Sing me about this time’at 5.30 pm in the Municipal Art Gallery with the appointment dedicated to Fabrizio De Andréhistorical singer of the last, with the participation of Marco Sonaglia.
